1st Twitch collab drives 25x more views than actual race

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the most grueling motorsports races in the world, and the most important event on Audi's competitive calendar. Unfortunately, Americans don’t watch Le Mans.
The first live-recreation of a motorsports race, the 24 Hours of Le Forza, replicated the thrills of Le Mans with the world’s best online gamers. Broadcast live on Twitch, it was as close as a gamer could get to Le Mans without joining a pit crew. By the end of the race, more people had tuned in to watch the experience than the real Le Mans - by 25 times.
Facts & Figures
- 950,000 total live views, 25 times more than the stream of the race itself and the equivalent of two-thirds the audience that watched the US v. Ghana World Cup match
- 8+ million minutes watched, the same as watching Audi content uninterrupted for 15 years straight
- 230,000 comments posted, that's 208% higher than the average Twitch stream and 5x all Audi Facebook comments in 2016 combined
