Verizon often found itself under attack on emerging platforms from challenger brands, and historically shied away from engaging the conversation.  With low engagement and few advocates, it was time to flip the script.

When T-Mobile spokeswoman, Nicki Minaj, used a Verizon phone to post fashion photos ahead of the American Music Awards, the brand saw an opening and for the first time, jabbed back. The tweet quickly surpassed engagement records for Verizon and grew into the brand's first nationally trending topic.
